Kevin Stark is an independent reporter who focuses on environment and climate change. He has written about rising seas, industrial pollution, global climate research, and urban and housing policy. He published a recent investigation that examined how sea level rise would impact local development in the Bay Area of California. He is working on a follow-up that details the need for regulatory reform in the face of climate change. This summer he embedded with a climate research expedition and traveled to the largest glacier in the Mongolian Altai. He has written for Pacific Standard Magazine, the Chicago Reporter, the San Francisco Public Press, Earth Island Journal, and other places. His broadcast work has appeared on Panoply’s Warm Regards podcast and numerous NPR affiliates in the Bay Area.
